*** We are here for you during COVID-19. We specialize in treating anxiety and depression, which are on the rise during this pandemic. Call us for more information about our Teletherapy options : (201) 669-1369
Our mission at the North Jersey Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (NJC-CBT) is to provide you and your loved ones with state-of-the-art treatment in the most compassionate, cost-effective and time-limited manner. We understand that for you to be seeking help for a problem, you have tried to resolve this problem on your own, and have been unable to do so. Therefore, we help you tackle the situation from a fresh perspective, whether it involves teaching you new coping strategies and skills, or by showing you how to change the usual thinking patterns that contribute to your distress. Either way, we enjoy giving you the power to eventually become your own therapist, where the new skills and ways of thinking help you feel your best long after the treatment has ended.
To this end, we use scientifically supported, evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Our therapists are highly trained in these modalities, and will tailor them to suit your particular needs. We have expertise in treating a wide variety of behavioral, emotional, adjustment, and relationship issues, including specialized treatment for any type of eating, weight, or body image concern. We are even able to offer one-on-one DBT Skills Training for those who want more individualized, intensive care than a group setting provides.
